LITTLE ROCK, Ark — Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its support for Congressman French Hill in his re-election campaign to represent Arkansas’s Second Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives. Hill, who serves as Committee Whip on the House Financial Services Committee is in his second term in Congress and has been a strong voice for independent business during his professional career and now in his work as a Congressman.

“The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is proud to endorse candidates who share our belief that private business and free enterprise are building blocks of a strong American economy,” said U.S. Chamber National Political Director Rob Engstrom. “Whether it is through tax reform or creating a fairer regulatory environment, Congressman Hill is part of a coalition in Congress determined to give American entrepreneurs and workers the opportunity to achieve economic prosperity.”

Hill first ran for Congress in 2014 on a platform of cutting the red tape that stymies job and economic growth. In 2013, he served as the chairman of the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

“The U.S. Chamber has been a great partner for me during my previous career as a business leader in Arkansas and now as a policymaker in Washington,” said Hill. “I ran for Congress because I knew that my experience working as a community banker would provide important insight for how regulatory policy can both negatively and positively affect the ability for small business to thrive. Our common vision that an American economy that encourages private business is one that will continue to help create greater opportunity for all Americans.”
